On Friday, May 5th, Elementary had a special day! Read about it from the words of a 5th grader, Aden Riggins.
Literacy Day is a special day we have every year in Elementary, to celebrate literature. Every year it is a little different. For example, last year, we had to dress up as a character from a Dr. Seuss book. This year we could dress up as anyone from a book of our choice. Also, each year, we are partnered up with a different grade, and share about the character we chose with that grade and our own grade. Then, we headed to the Library where every Elementary student and teacher reads for a certain number of seconds. This year, it was 2017 seconds, which is the new school record! Then we have a guest reader read to us – this year is was Mrs. Mendoza. That is Literacy Day at Faith Academy!
