Travelling Teams

During the third week of October, five of our Varsity sports teams traveled to various countries in Asia to participate in athletic tournaments, including the Asia Christian Schools Conference (ACSC) and Asia Pacific Invitational.

Hong Kong was the destination for the Girls Volleyball team, where they played at International Christian School – Hong Kong. The girls placed 4th in the tournament, out of eight schools. The team brought home two awards! Grace Baik (grade 12) was awarded Best Server and a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

The Boys Volleyball team hosted seven teams here at Faith Academy, placing 5th overall. Daniel Lee and Fonsie Roldan were awarded spots on the All-Tournament Team.

Following a different schedule than the one which previously had the Girls soccer tournament in March, this year the team traveled to and competed in Chiang Mai, Thailand at Grace International School. The girls placed third overall, and competed well!

The Boys Soccer team traveled to Penang, Malaysia, where they competed at Dalat International School, coming in 2nd place. Tristan Henderson (grade 12) Jason Lim, and Benjamin Chung(grade 12) all received All-Tournament Team awards, and the entire team was given the Sportsmanship Award!

The Cross Country team traveled to Guam this year. The tournament was held at St. Paul Christian School – where the runners competed against 17 schools. The three runners ran in the 5k, finishing in 31st, 125th and 135th places.

Go Vanguards! We are proud of the hard work shown by the players, coaches, and managers throughout this season! To God be the glory!
