FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL’S OFFICE

Dear Faith Academy Community Member,

We have an opportunity to call on the Lord and seek His favor on behalf of our school. We still have some significant staffing needs for the coming school year. It is our desire as a school to have these needs met before we head off into our break at the end of this school year. Please join us in praying specifically for:

  • 3 elementary teachers
  • 3 English teachers for Middle School/High School
  • ELL (English Language Learner) teachers for all three divisions
  • 1 High School Social Studies teacher
  • Boarding parents

I’m inviting everyone to participate in a Prayer Vigil for an hour on Thursday, April 25 (tomorrow night!). At 8:00pm, stop whatever it is you are doing and where ever you may be, in your home or where ever you are, and join our community in prayer. As a community, let’s ask the Lord to be gracious and merciful and provide for these staffing positions. Even though we will not be physically coming together, I’ve created a google doc that everyone who receives this message should have access to. During this hour of prayer if you would like to add any thoughts, prayers, verses to this document we can prompt and encourage one another in this way.  Here is the link.

An announcement regarding parking on campus: It has been noted that some of our drivers are attempting to back into the slanted spots on campus. This can create a potential danger to students and other pedestrians. It can also slow down the flow of traffic on and off campus. We are asking everyone to please park facing in on all of the parking spots from the speed bump in front of Elementary on around the rest of the campus parking. It is OK to back in in the pool parking and along the road as these are not slanted spots. Thank you for your cooperation in this regard!

“76 trombones led the big parade, with a hundred and ten cornets close at hand. They were followed by rows and rows of the finest virtuosos, the cream of ev’ry famous band…”

Come on out and enjoy the school’s production of “The Music Man” with shows on Thursday (3:30pm) Friday (6:30pm) and Saturday (6:30) this is the week. Don’t miss the fun!

I will be out of the country from April 26 through May 14, heading to Richmond, Virginia to take part in the annual meeting of the Child Safety & Protection Network (CSPN) and then,as a CSPN Board member, to participate in their Board meeting afterwards. Thank you for your prayers for this trip.

Serving with you,

Tom Hardeman

Head of School

“At the Lamb’s high feast we sing,
Praise to our victorious King,
Who hath washed us in the tide
Flowing from his piercèd side”

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds, we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 English Standard Version (ESV)
