FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL’S OFFICE

Dear Faith Academy Community Member,

At the end of this week, we will already be halfway through the first quarter of this school year! It is a privilege to partner with you in the education of your child(ren). Please continue to pray for the Lord to guide and direct us as a school.  We are already in the process of lining up interviews for the 2020-21 school year.  It would be such a blessing if we could line up the staff we need well in advance, unlike what has transpired in the past where we are scrambling up until the last minute. Pray for God to put us in touch with the folks He has in mind to serve going forward.

The Administrative Team will be on a working retreat this week for a couple of days.  This will be a critical time of establishing our “playbook” for the year and mapping out how best to move forward with the Faith Challenge, etc.  It would be great if you would pray for God to guide and direct us during these meetings.

Next Monday, September 2 will be our first Board meeting of this school year.  The men and women who serve on our Board would very much value your prayers for guidance in directing and leading the school.

Serving with you,

Tom Hardeman

Head of School

NEWS FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL SEARCH COMMITTEE

Dear Faith Academy Community,

We would like to let you know that the Head of School Search Committee has started its work. Committee members are Brian Foutz, Mike Gingerich, Laura Joseph, Anke Malessa and Mark McDaniel. As you know, the Board of Trustees is looking for a Head of School who will start their ministry in the 2020-2021 school year. A job description is available.

Please partner with us by praying for a new Head of School, by letting your churches and prayer partners know, and by passing on the job description to your mission organization and individuals you think might be suitable candidates. Please pray for God to bring us the right person and for wisdom in the whole process.

The Search Committee works closely together with the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. and informs the Admin Team about developments. The formal selection will be made by the full Board. You may certainly ask us about the process but please refrain from asking us for details about applicants.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer,

The Head of School Search Committee

O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above[ proclaims his handiwork. Psalm 19:1 (ESV)
