Dear Faith Academy Community Members,
Welcome to the start of the 63 rd year of Faith Academy! Once again as we were wrapping up the school year last May we had several holes to fill in our staffing. As little as two weeks prior to the start of this school year we still needed two critical teaching positions filled for this year. Our God is so faithful and gracious to us. We now have the year covered with all of the essential teaching positions filled! Praise the Lord!
A warm welcome to all of the new students and families joining the Faith Academy community this year! I hope you have experienced a smooth transition to our community and that the year is a great one for all of us! There is one family that I know personally that is exciting to me, as 8 th grader Caleb Tanchi joins us this year. Caleb’s parents and his aunts and uncles all attended Faith Academy. We have not had many second-generation local children of alums come to attend Faith Academy, so Caleb is in a pretty special category, one that I predict will grow in the coming years!
Praising God with you as we look to Him to bless and guide and direct throughout this year.
Serving with you,
Head of School
Guardianship Of Students
When a student is not living with his/her parents, or in the event of the parents’ absence for a period of time, it is required by the administrative policy that a guardian is designated for the student. The designated guardian must reside within Metro Manila and must be given written permission to act on the parents’ behalf regarding the student.
The Temporary Guardianship form must be filled up separately for each child and submitted via online. The online form can be found on our website under the Parent’s Tab or with this link:
Welcome to a new school year. I hope that you all have a safe and healthy “summer” break! I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know what the Health Services has to offer this year.
Our office is open from 7 am to 2:30 pm (1:30 on Tuesdays) with 2 – 3 nurses on duty. From 2:30 to 4:30 pm (every day except Tuesday) we have one nurse on duty – she will either be in the office or her phone number will be on the door so you can contact her in case she has stepped out for a bit. Our staff doctor has clinic hours from 1 – 2:30 pm every day except Tuesday. We may choose to have an ill or injured child seen by the doctor but we will do our best to communicate that to you, as parents, as soon as possible. For elementary students that need to see the doctor, we would prefer that you are also present, so we will try to contact you before the student is seen. While the doctor’s office hours are reserved for staff and student visits only, the nursing staff is available with medical advice to anyone at any time during our office hours!!
Most of our days are filled with caring for your children and their health needs. Please keep us informed of any health needs your children may have. We are willing to dispense any medication (for a short time) that you send, we just ask that you clearly label the medication with your child’s name as well as the dose and time needed. If you gave us permission to administer medications to your elementary-aged child on the Student Health Form that you submitted for registration, we will do our best to send home a note when a medication is given. If you did not give us permission, we will contact you if we feel they need medication. We will dispense medications to middle and high school students as needed but will depend on the students to let you know!
Please keep us informed of your current cell phone number so we can contact you regarding any medical issues that may arise during the school day!
Any time the Health office is open we are here to offer medical advice or care and help you in any way we can. We have a variety of over-the-counter medications available. We also have some medical equipment (crutches, nebulizers, splints) that you can borrow if needed. Our nurses are here to help you and are all well trained and experienced.
We are also excited to announce that we have a MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) with Fatima University Medical Center – a nearby hospital. They have agreed to provide discounts on hospitalizations and/or diagnostic testing to staff and students of Faith Academy (and their immediate families). All you need to do is present your student’s ID to their business office when you pay the bill. If you would like more information about this, please email or stop by the Health Office!
Please let us know if you have any questions or need to let us know of any health concerns with your students. You can either call 651-7100 local 752 or 753 OR email us at [email protected]
