FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL’S OFFICE

Dear Faith Academy Community Member,

It is Filipiniana Week in elementary this week.  There will be many events celebrating the wonderful host country we live in. Students are excited to share in these activities and recognize the country and people we enjoy so much.  They need parent volunteers to help out with activities on Friday especially.  Please check with the elementary office if you’d like to help.

Friday this week, November 8, our Side by Side folks are putting on our annual community picnic starting at 4:00 p.m.  on the elementary playground and field.  It is a fun time of fellowship and casual interaction with others in the community.  The Christian band Gloryfall will be there to perform and to lead us in worship.  Come on out and join in the fun!

This is a shorter quarter with only a little over 8 weeks while the first quarter was ten.  It also leads right up to Christmas break, which can be a quite chaotic time of year for everyone.  This means the students need to stay on top of their work so they don’t fall behind with a shorter time to catch up.  Please be proactive and partner with the school by checking in with teachers, checking Sycamore when appropriate, and ensuring your child is keeping on top of their studies, etc.  Faith Academy relies on this ongoing partnership in order to do the best job we can in educating your children.

Our Director for Advancement, Mr. Todd Eichenauer, and Mr. Kichang Bae, our Korean Affairs Coordinator, are traveling this week to South Korea to represent Faith Academy.  They will be meeting with various church leaders and talking about ways to partner with the work we are doing here in the Philippines.  Please pray for safety in their travels, favor in their meetings and for good relationships to be established.

Serving together,

Tom Hardeman

Head of School

ANGEL TREE PROJECT

Every Christmas there are children who wake up to find that they did not receive any presents. But this Christmas, you have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life here in the Valley Golf Community, just down the road from Faith Academy.

The Angel Tree Project provides gifts for 400 kids every Christmas season. You can be a part of this. Just go to the High School Office and pick up a tag from the Christmas Tree for what age and gender you want to buy a gift for . One tag is for one gift to one child, so don’t hesitate to take more!

All gifts are due to the High School Office by Friday, November 15th. You don’t have to have wings to be an angel!

TUESDAY PRAYING PARENTS

Come and experience the joy of praying together for our school and our kids! 7:15-8:30 am every Tuesday morning in the Tipunan prayer room.

“O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.”

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1
