Dear Faith Academy Community Member,
What a week we’ve had! I never imagined that in my time as Head of School I would be calling off school due to volcanic ash falling from the sky! Thankfully we serve a God who was not at all surprised by any of the recent unsettling volcanic events and continues to guide and protect us.
Please know that the administration is very mindful of the ongoing tenuousness of the situation with the volcano. The safety of our students is paramount in our decision making as we look at whether or not to hold classes. This is new territory for all of us and unfortunately, there does not seem to be a very helpful official site to refer to for updates, etc. [IF you know of one, please contact me at [email protected] and let me know!]We are not assuming anything, but are looking day by day for updates to inform us in this process. We ask for your prayers for wisdom from the Lord to direct us in our decision making. We appreciate your support and cooperation. We will send out texts, Facebook and email messages if/when there is a change in the situation. In the meantime, assume we will hold classes.
Serving with you,
Head of School
