Year-End Ask Campaign

Due to the uniqueness of our ministry, and as paradigms and practices for cross-cultural missions have changed through the years, we have found it necessary to increase our capacity in assisting in the financial needs of our missionary staff and students.

This November – December 2021, we call on your hearts to give to God’s work in our community and campus. To #comehometofaith in prayers and financial giving to help make Faith academy a home — a mission field to support-raising staff, and learning environment for mostly missionary children — for more generations to come.

You may donate directly to Faith Academy via PayPal or MasterCard/Visa from any country. These donations will be converted to pesos and a Faith Academy receipt will be given.

Faith Academy has partnered with Friends of Faith, a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation in the United States, to accept donations on behalf of Faith Academy. Donations to Friends of Faith are tax-deductible to U.S. taxpayers. Visit their website for more information by clicking the button below.

Faith Academy can accept (PHP) Philippine Peso and (USD) United States Dollar donations via cash or cheque, through over the counter, online banking, and in-person delivery to our Business Office

Faith Academy is a duly registered non-stock, non-profit educational and religious corporation with the (SEC) Securities and Exchange Commission in the Philippines with Registration No. 12445.

As of November 2021, we are currently waiting for the results of our latest evaluation with the (PCNC) Philippine Council for NGO Certification. “PCNC certification is a basis of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in approving donee status of NGOs. With donee status, donations made to these NGOs are exempted from donor’s tax and are deductible from the taxable income of donors.” Upon renewal of our donee status with the BIR, our Business Office will be able to provide you with a Certificate of Donation, within 2 weeks of your confirmed financial contribution to Faith Academy.

The global pandemic may have changed us in many ways, but we still have the same mission as a school. We still want to point our students to Christ. We still want to be examples of God’s transformational power to our students. And we still want our students to passionately know, trust, and obey God in whatever and wherever He calls them to.

As we strive to provide an excellent education and bring God glory through our school, our mission becomes our motivation. Along with these comes hard work and faith — work that requires resources, plus faith that is secured in God’s purpose and provision.

God has graciously provided for us throughout the history of Faith Academy and we now invite you to participate in this legacy and ministry. And for those who have been supporting our campus and community, we encourage you to continue in faith.

As we partner together through changing times, may God continue to bless what He started in 1957.

Head of School

We thank God for all of you who have made Faith Academy your home. Whether you attended Faith on V. Mapa Street or on our hilltop campus in Cainta. Whether you lived in the dorms or took the bus or a van to get to school, spent just a couple of years in elementary school or were a K-12 MK, joined Faith for your junior and senior year or served on staff, Faith Academy was your home at one time in your life.

Would you reflect on your time here and thank the Lord with us for what He has done with this ministry now for over 60 years? And would you please pray with us that this ministry will continue to be blessed by the Lord until He returns?

Lastly, as you consider what you are thankful for this time of year, would you please include Faith Academy in your prayers and financial stewardship? We have missionary staff, students, and families who are in great need of encouragement. Your prayers and financial gifts will help them press on for the Lord!

Director for Advancement

Having served as the school Registrar since 2016 up to the present, I have seen how enrolling in Faith Academy meaningfully impacts the lives of missionary and local ministry families. We have an average of 20 nationalities, connected with over 100 Christian organizations worldwide, as a gift that keeps on giving. Each year, hundreds of missionary and local ministry children receive our holistic Pre-K to 12 education. This contributes to parents’ increased capacity to serve in their respective mission fields. In turn, churches are planted, poor communities are assisted, Bible schools are staffed,  parachurch organizations are led, and the Gospel is preached in the Philippines and across Asia to name a few.

And having enrolled my own children in Faith Academy, knowing they will also receive spiritual formation in the school,  my own spiritual journey was also enriched by being part of a Christ-centered, caring, and multicultural community. Therefore it is my joy to see how my now-adult children continue to walk and grow in their faith. I believe their years in this school greatly influenced them to serve the Lord in whatever He calls them into.

May you prayerfully consider helping extend this opportunity to more generations of missionary and local ministry families. I pray we will continue to be equipped to take in and retain students, even through challenging and changing times.

God has indeed been faithful to establish and sustain our school. Aside from the beautiful campus that we’ve been blessed with to develop through the years, He has been sending us missionaries – who raise their own financial support, who call Faith Academy as their home, and who continue our legacy of developing Christlike lifelong learners. This has been made possible through missions agencies, local churches, and many individual ministry partners who have helped to provide for our staffing needs.

We believe God will do this for us every school year, despite the changing face of worldwide missions and the growing challenges for cross-cultural ministries. Many of our staff face the added pressures of their rising educational costs and the new global health concerns.

Would you prayerfully consider helping us in this area? Can you help get our staff here to serve with us? Would you help send more missionaries so the Gospel can be preached and the kingdom of God advanced?

Faith Academy is home to me because I have spent the majority of my life here. I went to Faith Academy K-12, and now I have the amazing opportunity to serve here as a teacher. Initially, my wife and I were open to serving anywhere in the world, but God opened and closed doors to have us end up here in the Philippines. At first, I loved that I had the opportunity to teach at the school that helped me grow so much. However, since teaching here, I have grown to love even more how my ministry is helping missionary families by teaching their children so they can do their ministry with ease.

Coming to Faith Academy for me, is a way to support tribal ministry.  When I became a missionary I joined Ethnos360 (formerly New Tribes Mission) to support the work of Bible translations/church planting to unreached people groups. The way to do that for me, was to teach the children of these missionaries in those locations.  Families who would otherwise not have a place for their children to go to school, causing them to leave the field. When you support schools like Faith Academy you get to be part of kingdom work.  You get to be a part of what God is doing amongst the least reached.  During my years of teaching here, Faith has become “home” to me through the relationships I’ve built with fellow like-minded colleagues, who have become like family”

Faith Academy is my spiritual home, I am serving and being served in the community. It is encouraging to build the next generation’ faith in Jesus Christ. children are precious in Jesus’ eyes, their hearts are so sensitive and soft, any planted seeds in their hearts will grow. What we concern is not only about their academic growth, but also their souls which Jesus cares about. Your partnership makes this happen for some staff.

We moved to the Philippines 3 months ago to begin teaching at Faith and we have been blown away by the Faith community’s hospitality, generosity, and love. God has graciously been allowing us to feel at “home” at Faith as we experience the unity and diversity within the Body of Christ through this amazing group of people. It has been worth following God in faith because we have the privilege of participating in the Great Commission by teaching and building into the children of missionaries. If others feel that the Holy Spirit is prompting them to invest in Faith Academy, they would be able to participate in this beautiful partnership of furthering the gospel in Southeast Asia, East Asia, and beyond.

Cheryl and I (Walt) Spicer met at Calvary University. I was an education major and Cheryl was a nurse. We believed God called us into missions, specifically in the support role of teaching missionary children. We joined New Tribes Mission (now called Ethnos360).

We believe that God called us to serve at Faith Academy and it has become our home: Cheryl grew up attending Faith Academy,  starting first grade at FA and graduating from FA, having many fond memories of FA and the dorm; this is where all five of our children attended and graduated, and this is where we still serve–myself as the Deputy Head and Cheryl as a school nurse. It is only by God’s grace that we continue to serve, but we are confident in the school’s vision and mission. It is aligned with God’s Word and our calling in life–worthy to give our life for.

The story of Faith Academy is the story of God’s faithfulness. Watch these short videos about how God has been working in our campus and community, and be inspired to participate in the Great Commission with us and wherever God has called you to.
