Activities Coordinator

The Activities Coordinator helps to meet immediate needs of staff, students and the parent community related to the scheduling of the facilities and activities of Faith Academy. This office often serves as an information center for people within the Faith community and regularly acts as a liaison and mediator between school divisions, departments or programs.

Essential Duties of the job
  • Manage facility reservations for inside groups and outside groups for needs within the school (Cadd building is managed by Cadd Manager).
  • Manage/coordinate fundraiser projects.
  • Maintain the different facilities calendars so the Facilities Staff can view these calendars to keep the guards informed of who is allowed onto campus.
  • Master Calendar:
    • Prepare the yearly calendars on Google Apps with input from administration, faculty, athletic director, and staff members.
    • The weekly/monthly calendars are linked and updated automatically.
  • Maintain an awareness of as many of the student and staff activities as possible. Try to contact the regular groups around campus who do not have a Facilities Usage Request approved and on the calendar.
  • Do committee work as assigned such as:
    • staff social events
    • space use committee
    • master planning committee

Job specifications
  • The applicant for this position must have computer knowledge, with the ability to learn new applications.  He/she must be detail oriented and sensitive to deadlines and sensitive to private information.  The applicant must also be able to relate to people in a way that will encourage calm in potentially stressful situations and handle conflict resolutions on a regular basis. 
  • Knowledge of Google Apps is a MUST
