Member Care Coordinator

The HR Member Care Coordinator works as part of the HR Team and works closely with the HRD in seeking to provide care for our incoming and current staff.

Essential Duties of the job
  • New Staff:The MCC will be the point person for initial questions and making sure the first few weeks run as smoothly as possible. The MCC is dedicated to coming up with ways that help our new staff  through the transition of leaving their passport country and joining our community here in the Philippines.Some of these activities may include but are not be limited to: 
    • New Staff Orientation
    • Buddy system
    • 30-Day Fellowship
    • Fellowships
    • Cultural Awareness Orientation
  • Long-Term Staff: The MCC works closely with the HR Team in surveying and evaluating the rentention  and sustainablility of staff members. The MCC also looks for ways to encourage and help our long-term staff members, allowing them to keep a healthy attitude and ministry. Some of these activities can include but are not limited to:
    • All Staff Retreat
    • Overseeing the divisional member care teams
    • Christmas Banquet
    • End of Year Luncheon
    • Service Awards
    • Connections to New Staff
  • Staff Assistance: Arrange for (or be) the point person to help individual staff as needs arise. Some of these activities include but are not limited to:
    • Help with house hunting / packing / moving
    • Arrange for (or be) a companion for doctor or hospital visits
  • Housing Facilitator: Faith Academy leases multiple properties (houses as well as condominiums) for the express purpose of providing housing for staff.  Duties will include the following:
    • Offer available units to Faith Academy staff, so if possible, no property sits empty.
    • Point-of-contact for tenants of said properties regarding housing issues.
    • Keep a record of all work-requests until they are properly resolved. 
    • Organizing clean up and potential repair of properties between tenants if needed.
    • Organize and prepare the property for the incoming tenants,whether short term or long term
Additional responsibilities
  • Maintain a list of available housing in the surrounding area forstaff as a courtesy. As people in the community have houses available for lease, sublease, or purchase, their properties may be added to an ongoing list designed to be shared. This is only a courtesy. 
  • Collecting information that could be used for Member Care. Some examples of this:
    • Guest house options.
    • Important FB groups/chats to be a part of
    • Names of helpers, handymen, and groundsmen that could be available for hire. 
    • Keep inventory of FA furniture/items in said properties
    • Creating/Updating Mabuhay book

  • Mature Christian experience, sound judgement, and professional skill

  • Active participant in a local church
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision
  • The ability to work well with others, exhibit good judgment in decision making, and be familiar with and comfortable in a “missions” and educational environment
  • The capacity to be a perceptive and empathetic listener; proven ability to be a team player
  • Displays both warmth and professionalism and a quality of spirit that is reflected in a growing relationship with God and a God-honoring relationship with others
